Since a trip to Mexico in 2017 where Jonathan's worldview was completely changed, he has been trying to tell stories with his camera. Now, Jonathan wants to help give a platform through his camera to the most marginalized groups in society. With his visual storytelling skills, he hopes to provide an honest look at the human experience.
Jonathan is an award-winning photographer having won the Catholic Media Association Awards for Best Single Photo, CMA Pinnacle Awards General News Photo 3rd place Winner, and was a finalist in the Run for Art International Competition. He attended DePaul University for his bachelor’s degree in journalism. After freelancing for a year Jonathan attended the Medill School of Journalism for his master’s degree in journalism, graduating in 2022.
